If the Perpetually possession challanged Flames want to replace one problem coach with an even worse Coach named Randy Carlyle, then targeting Boedker seems exactly like what they would do.

Personally, I'd pass on Boedker. Ironically, signing Tanguay would help more.

Yeah no thanks the money simply is not there to pay a UFA winger $6+ mill a year.

Priority list for the Flames should be finding a coach then a goaltender, wait until next summer to start looking for wingers once the expansion process is sorted out.

Tanguay sucks too, you can get off your possession Hero Chart campaign.
A 38 year old broken down winger with bad knees is not a good idea of a signing just bc he has a good Hero Chart

Well, not that you'd care, but he's excellent defensively, will put up a few points and keep the play going in the right direction. At 39 he's probably more effective than most 3rd line players in the entire league.

Tanguay is a cerebral player who has been able to adapt his game as his skills diminished. As a depth player for a team hoping to make the Playoffs, you could do worse. Plus, it'll be budget conscience.

are you actually trying to counterpoint me on Tanguay, who I have watched him more than you have lately and throughout his whole entire career. Come on Jimmy, you dont have to have a rebuttal for ever post on this site.

Tanguay cant skate anymore, he constantly is going offside, and he is a boat anchor now. He is not excellent defensively...watch the games Jimmy

You can say maybe "you are right Coga, its probably not the best idea. Good Point Big Man, I respect and appreciate you"

"Boedker has played for bad teams like Arizona and Colorado so the bar has been set pretty low. That he hasn't managed to clear it over a three-year span isn't encouraging."

You gonna take that Coga?

Yeo is a decent coach, he got screwed over by Parise and Suter trying to be player coaches (rumours they were anyways)

this is when Tanguay was effective in Calgary, possession or otherwise and no, Iggy isn't coming back here. That ship sailed as has signing 38 year old players to improve our advanced stats...

Don't the numbers say that even on a bad team like Cogarado, he's still one of the worst relative to the others on the team? Worst of the worst.

Where there is smoke there is fire. And there was a poop ton of smoke coming from Minnie, in regards to Suter specifically.

I liked Boedkers speed, and his creativity as an offensive zone weapon. Guy can flat out fly and make space for his linemates with his speed.

Hated how soft he was, once engaged physically, was so easy to get the puck away from him.

Johnny is a more dynamic version of Boedker, you dont need a worse version of what you already have
